This set is made from responsibly sourced wood that actually came from a pallet. as I break down pallets for other projects, I always keep an eye out for something special, and this is how I came across the wood for this and a couple other sets! This particular board was cut in the popular "quater sawn" grain alignment, leaving behind a stunning grain pattern known as "ray fleck." The only downside to owning this set is that it may end up as a distraction from the story as you find yourself staring at it! No stain was used in their production and all colors are naturally occuring!
They are finished in our jojoba oil and beeswax wood conditioner for an all natural, easily maintained, and (though not necessary) food safe finish.
