This beutiful white oak bowl was made from a piece of firewood I just couldn't pass by! White oak is notoriously difficult to work with when wet as it tends to check (crack) and warp badly during the drying process. Out of the three that I turned from this log, this is the only one to survive the drying process. With lovely figure and counter grain, this bowl is certain to impress! You can see from the last picture, there is some grain tear out that is currently filled with wax. This will not effect function or longevity and is reflected in the price. Finished in our jojoba oil and beeswax wood conditioner for an easily maintained, all natural, and food safe finish.
