This bowl was turned fro the crotch section of a bradford pear tree that snapped during a storm. I turned it so as to display the bark inclusion at the center of the "Y" or crotch of the tree. The compression and feather grains found in this part of the tree add beautiful, curly, and iridescent figure to the majority of the bowl. Bradford Pear is also a beautiful creamy peach color that is not common and will certainly stand out. This particular bowl is dense and weighty for its size and will last for years to come!
Finished in our jojoba oil and beeswax conditioner for an all natural, easily maintained, and food safe finish.
