These are made from responsibly sourced box elder. They were selected for the characteristic pinkish-red grain color only found in certain box elder trees! This staining effect only occurs naturally and is not reproduceable. The density of box elder is a little on the softer side, but with proper care, these page holders will last for years.
They are finished in our jojoba oil and beeswax wood conditioner for an all natural, easily maintained finish.
